History

Ginox is a household business with a long history of 140 years. This story begins with the creation of "Giovanna Frères " in 1875.

1910

Humbert, son of Georges, takes the tinsmithing part and specializes in sanitation installations.

with the development of tourism, and construction of many hotels, the demand increased. The workshops moved into larger premises

the company used a little known and completely revolutionary material for the first time in stainless steel

the company, Giovanna turns into SA and Henry, grandsons of Georges, created the Ginox department: the stainless steel made its grand entrance into building technology

1948

the company is housed in Clarens, in a larger factory equipped with modern machinery, which enables more extensive works

After the loss of Henri Giovanna, who lead the company successfully for over 50 years, Olivier Giovanna, his son, replaced him at the head of the company.

2003

creation of Giovanna Holding SA, the parent company which shelters operational units of the group. Jerome Hofer, trhe representative of the 5th generation succeeds to Olivier Giovanna as the company's chief

creation of Ras Al Khaimah, in the United Arab Emirats, of Ginox UAE LLC, and opening of a production plant in the Middle East countries

2011

inauguration in Chailly-sur Montreux, with the new site of the production group, with the assurance of ultra modern factory

opening of the showroom in Bangkok. The group celebrates this year its 140 years of existence
